Shining Waters Country Inn Cottages

My daughter and I really enjoyed our stay. The inn is walking distance to the main Green Gables activities. It's also central to the island, with Charlottetown being a short, scenic drive away. Lighthouses and the beach are close too. The staff were very kind and knowledgeable about the area and local history. Our room had two twin beds and was exactly as pictured online. Breakfast each morning included eggs, muffins, ham, yogurt, and waffles, along with juice and coffee. Overall, our stay at the Shining Waters Country Inn was everything I had hoped it would be!

We absolutely loved our stay here. Rooms are a bit dated but so charming. Beds were decent, pillows were comfortable, AC was great, fantastic water pressure, and I loved the towel service! Great place to stay with the family. I highly recommend catching the sunset at Cavendish beach which is just a very short drive away from the cottages.

The whole experience so far has been wonderful. Staff is friendly and kind and the room was clean and comfortable. We were by the road but with the air-conditioned on it drowned out any traffic sounds. We would happily stay again. The fan in the photo is ours.

Booked two nights here in the off-season (October), and was just so pleased with our rooms and the accommodations and the staff. Extremely friendly staff, cute/quaint rooms, great kitchenettes, new appliances (fridge/TVs), full tubs/showers. My wife and I traveled here with a friend, and we got two separate rooms for a very affordable rate. We advised we'd be arriving well after their front office closes, so they left the keys and maps and instructions for us, which we were able to find without issue at all. The rooms are walking distance from the Cavendish Cliffs / Oceanview Lookout. Very close to a gas station, and also right down the road from the Green Gables Heritage Place — a museum dedicated to L. M. Montgomery and her books based on Anne of Green Gables. The only real drawback to our trip is that practically everything else in Cavendish closes in the off-season (except for Shining Waters Country Inn Cottages and the Green Gables Heritage Place), so for any food or other recreation we had to travel elsewhere on the island. But PEI is such a beautiful province! We really enjoyed traveling to all parts of the island to pick up staples to eat, stop at a pub, get a meal or a drink. We absolutely will return to PEI again, and when we do we'll stay at Shining Waters Country Inn Cottages. Absolutely recommend it!

The room (not a cottage) with a queen bed was spacious and very comfortable! The entire room/bathroom was very clean (something I feel is incredibly important). The staff was welcoming and accommodating. I highly recommend staying here, and plan on doing so again myself for our next visit.

Second time staying here at Shining Waters Country Inn Cottages and we will surely come back. Near the Cavendish beach, cavendish tourist information center, and all amenities. The breakfast as always is freshly cooked and a lot of choices. Definitely recommend if you are staying in Cavendish.
